We want the “blackest city in America” to also be the most supportive and affirming of abortion and our bodily autonomy!
Reproductive Justice Commission
We are demanding the creation of a Reproductive Justice Commission (RJC). The RJC would have long term oversight of municipal decisions and the right to give policy recommendations to address and remove barriers to reproductive care, contraception, and abortion services in South Fulton. This commission would be comprised of abortion providers, advocates and concerned stakeholders.
Supporting Youth Leadership
The decisions made in our community have a long lasting impact. This impact is felt by all, but it is especially harsh and long lasting for the youth in our community that often have no voice in the process.
Our Youth Organizing Committee works to help spearhead our demands for South Fulton. We seek not only to understand what South Fulton youth need, but also offer support to Amplify their voices and develop their overall leadership.
Are you an activist between the ages of 16-25? Do you want to make an impact in your community? Go over to our contact us page to sign up for the Amplify email list and let us know how you’d like to be involved. *hyperlinking to contact us page.*
Working with Communities of Faith
Faith communities in South Fulton are diverse! We believe interfaith leaders and their actions should reflect the needs, desires, and rights of those who look to their leadership.
We provide the space for both listening to interfaith leaders and educating them on the obstacles facing our community. By doing this we hope to counter the culture of stigma surrounding pleasure, our bodies and abortion and see more faith spaces that are whole sources of support.
